Rush hour traffic, talk radio and sexual assault?
Keywords: dominic dieter, rovers morning glory, screw daughter straight

Dominic Dieter, a Cleavland Ohio DJ, has apologized for promoting sexual assault on his morning radio show last week when a listener emailed Dieter to inquire advice about his “lesbian” daughter. The male listener stated that he had walked in on his daughter kissing another girl. When said listener asked Dominic what he should do, Dominic replied as only a Donkey – i.e. ass – could…
“You should have one of your friends screw your daughter straight.”
Yep. You read that right. Not only did Mr. Dieter suggest that the man have his daughter raped, but that sexuality is something that can be reversed by sexual trauma. This comment is frightening, hurtful and implicitly promotes sexual violence and the rape of lesbian women. This comment scares me.
Dominic retracted his statement and apologized several days later, but for me it doesn’t matter. It’s just like the b.s. Carson Daly spewed a few weeks ago. It doesn’t matter if you say sorry – what matters is that inherently in your being, Mr. Dieter, you believe these things to be true and laughable. This is what you think.

(Why just look at how classy and fancy his morning promo pic is…)
While GLAAD is mostly responsible for calling Dominic to apologize, many are still not happy with his apology, which is as follows…straight from the asses mouth.
“I just wanted to say that, I know on the show this past Friday I made some comments that people found…considered to be offensive. And I just wanted to say, I understand why people are angry. I want to genuinely apologize to anyone who may have been offended by what I said.
I regret what I did say. My comments were inappropriate. They were inexcusable, and just downright stupid. And I want to make it clear; there was absolutely no intention to promote physical or sexual violence. And I’m truly, truly sorry by my poor choice of words that led people to believe otherwise.”
Too little. Too late. Your male listeners already got an earful. I’m so sorry for you Dominic, that you think and feel these things, and more so that you have a public forum in which to say them. I agree with many others who are now calling for his resignation from the station. If people can be fired for making jokes about Aliyah’s death – this suggestion of lesbian rape as an answer to homosexuality is just as serious.
