One for the record books for the L.A. Kings

Over the years we have seen some beautiful plays leading up to incredible goals in the NHL Playoffs. Beautiful snipes, amazing dekes, and hard core buries to guarantee victory. This one in particular, while not a beauty by any means, has more of a meaning to the L.A Kings history books. Dustin Penner made history the other night by scoring the final goal, sending his team into the Stanley Cup Finals, a place they haven’t visited since 1993.

The LA Kings battled hard throughout the Playoffs thus far, and that hard work has earned them a nice comfy spot on the couch with plenty of time to recuperate while their competitors battle it out over the weekend. Who the Kings play can possibly be decided tonight, if not, by Sunday night we will know for sure who will be battling it out against for the 2012 Stanley Cup Championship.
