N.Y Islander P.A Parenteau, signs with Colorado for big bucks

Keyword: new york islanders, p.a parenteau, colorado avalanche

Here the Islanders go again, not resigning a name brand guy within the organization to only watch him go to the Colorado Avalanche.  This my friends is not a shocker to me at all and something if anything else I feel is what the Islanders are great at.  Either paying top dollar for “Star” players who don’t do squat while they are here or they just let people go and become big time starts.  It happens all the time so why should this be any different.

P.A, a right winger for his former team signed with the Avs for 4 years $16 million, not a bad gig P.A, I wouldn’t be too sad about that.  You go to play for a competitive team that should make a decent run for it next year and get paid great money while your doing it and hey I hear Colorado isn’t too bad of a place to live.

There is a lot of speculation of weather Tavares made Parenteau the player he is today or vise-versa  and if he will be able to turn Duchene back around into the franchise player he once was.  At the end of the day you have to go out there and play hockey and granted players compliment each other no doubt about it but I think you need to give P.A a little more credit Islander critics.

I’m excited to see how this turns out for the guy but until then sit tight because it’s free agency week and I’m sure this is one of the may deals we are going to see hitting the web.
