Helen Gurley Brown, author and legendary editor of Cosmopolitan magazine, died on Monday. The 90 year old writer helped to make Cosmopolitan the top selling magazine that it is today, and is an inspiration to all female journalists. The Hearst corporation sent out the following memo to employees:
“It would be hard to overstate the importance to Hearst of her success with Cosmopolitan, or the value of the friendship many of us enjoyed with her. Helen was one of the world’s most recognized magazine editors and book authors, and a true pioneer for women in journalism—and beyond.”
Our prayers go out to Helen’s family during this difficult time!
