How to beat rainy day hair blues

It’s a rainy day here on Long Island. Can’t complain this this weekend was so beautiful. We spent all day yesterday at the vineyard with some of our good friends. It was perfect.  And by the looks of the forecast we are expected to have a pretty nice weekend again coming up, but it looks like a lot of rain is headed our way during the week.  So how do you deal with your hair in weather like this?

We all know that leaving it down and blown out is almost always out of the question when dealing with weather like this!  So what options do you have?  Well, ponytails are my favorite.  They are so simple!. It keeps the hair out of your face and in place all day long.  If you are in a rush, just pull it up into a simple pony.  If you have a little extra time, tease the top for some height first.

Pony’s not your thing?  Try a low messy bun.  Pull your hair back into a ponytail at the nape of your neck, tease your ends and randomly pin them up. You can do this on the side too for a side messy bun.  Spray a little hair spray, and you are good to go!

If all else fails…wear a hat!  Unfortunately I am not a hat person.  I just have never been able to wear one and feel comfortable in it. But there are plenty of you out there that I see every day who wear hats. A rainy day is a perfect hat day!!
